GROWING FISH IN EARTHEN POND SYSTEM. WELCOME TO OUR ODOGBOLU FISH FARM VILLAGE

OUR ODOBOLU FISH POND

This is our special earthen pond system, located in a village called odogbolu near Ijebu Ode in Ogun state.
The earthen Pond is special for unique water that flows 24/7 naturally and this water is used to grow fish in a natural and organic way free from chemicals.
The fish Grown here is healthier and tastes better than catfish grown in other types of ponds.

The journey into this pond began some years ago when we were tired of the concrete pond system that made catfish farming very unprofitable due challenges of power and changing of water

In this farm, we don’t change water and we don’t use power either. The water flows naturally and we have an inlet and an outlet which helps to create oxygen and help the fishes grow better.

Each pond is dug and constructed with sand bags which are used to form a dyke which prevents the ponds from caving in. Great expertise and good management are the pillars of this farm and we look forward to becoming in future.
One earthen pond can contain about 4,000 adult fishes and the fishes are harvested every 6 months.
With fresh investment, this farm can be scaled up to a capacity of over 500 ponds which will produce over 2,000 metric tonnes of fish every 6 months
We also have a feed mill in the village where we formulate our own feed to be able to meet the demand of the fish which is feed.
Till date we have received over 1,000 tourists who visit the farm for free every year.
